First Trust NGO is an Indian not-for-profit initiative providing Rural Development and Education through programs. We are a non-denominational, non-political organisation.

First Trust is conceptualized by like-minded professional from different segments of the society who have pledged for the upliftment and empowerment of tribal and rural society particularly for the socially and economically vulnerable. It takes up various need based and context specific activities for the economic, social, cultural, educational environmental and scientific development.

Our Organization is a registered NGO in India, working on special projects and social support to the under privileged community to protect them and empower them to be self-sufficient in the future. Our First Trust NGO also provide scientific research, health education, literacy, rural employment generation, environmental conservation etc. to the the community, who reside in rural area.

First Trust is committed for the social, economic and scientific mainstreaming of the marginalized, disempowered section; through awareness, knowledge sharing and generating sustainable development opportunities.

The philosophy of First Trust draws from the talisman prescribed by Mahatma Gandhi

"Every action proposed or contemplated, should in its implementation wipe the tears of poor and downtrodden person. Only when we have wiped the tears from the faces of all, have we truly arrived as a nation."

First Trust is a non-for profit organization registered with the Sub Registrar of Karaikudi,TamilNadu,India under Indian Trust Registration Act 1982. 

At individual level, staff at the First Trust will be guided by the values of independence, non-discrimination, tolerance of diversity, honesty, integrity, respect, non-partisanship, innovation, diligence, responsiveness and collaboration. At institutional level, the First Trust will at all times strive to distinguish itself as separate from, yet often closely collaborating with, government, universities, NGOs, media, and advocacy groups; and to remain a scientific organisation whose work is viewed as authoritative and non-partisan. Quality, integrity and ethical conduct are essential hallmarks of First Trust work.
